Our tours will take you from the river up to the hills with breathtaking views of the ocean, beaches and mangroves, through jungle trails and along the beaches of Nosara or Ostional.

Security is our motto. Our tours are custom designed for each individual or group (maximum 12 riders). Should the group be larger than 4, two or even three guides will accompany you. This also allows part of the group to join in a gallop if they feel like it, while the others follow at a more leisurely pace.

The tours are guided in English, Spanish or German and usually lasttwo and a half or three and a half hours, with a break for a drink. Longer and shorter tours can also be arranged.

Not only will you enjoy the ride, but your guide will tell you all about the plants and animals you will encounter during the tour. Most likely you will meet a family of howler monkeys, observe a large variety of birds, learn about the local trees and plants and the medicinal use which is made of them.

The horses are trained and educated by an experienced trainer - reliable, friendly horses, which give beginners as well as advanced riders a real pleasure ! Our horses are regularly checked by our veterinarian and our farrier. They are kept in roomy and clean stables, well fed and treated. We offer only guided tours and groups are never mixed. Our guides who speak English, Spanish and German, will give you detailed explanations of the flora and fauna. Children as from 7 years old can join us on the tour.

Nosara Animal Care S.A.is a non-profit association in Costa Rica, who through donations, provides health care for homeless animals and for animals living with low income families who cannot afford the high costs of veterinary medicine. We believe that every animal equally deserves quality care from skilled and gentle veterinarians. We have an adoption program to help find homes for rehabilitated street animals and for unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.
